Popular Photography travels in time, tests Nikon D3X

The review from the not so distant future in March 2009 (see image), has a thorough look at the new Nikon D3X camera, the 24.5 Megapixel beast targeted at professionals, photojournalists and adventurers. The massive camera is loaded with top-notch features, with ISO ranging from 50 to 3200, 14 bit per color RAW images, full-frame sensor and other goodies. Make sure you get a decent lens to get out the best from this body.

From the review:
What's Hot
• Full-frame 24.5MP sensor for superb resolution.
• Low noise, fast AF in low light.
• Tough, weathersealed body with integrated vertical grip.

What's Not
• Noisier and slower than rivals in bright light.
• Huge image files eat memory.
• No integrated dust reduction.
• That $8,000 price.

Who's This For?
• Pros and enthusiasts who want to print big, with the most resolution possible in a Nikon.
• Available-light shooters who treat their gear rough -- think photojournalists and adventure fiends.
