Silicon Power, manufacturer of flash memory products has announced the availability of its 8 GB 150x SDHC class 6 high-speed flash memory cards.
These cards employ in them the single-level cell (SLC) NAND for professional photographers to carry out continuous shooting and video recording. SLC solutions fulfills the need of high write speeds along with read speeds for continuous shooting function on high-end DSLR camera which is not possible with MLC (multi-level cell). These SDHC cards support large data transfers and 23.05 MBps of read speed and 18.56 MBps of write speed, which it boasts is 3 times the write speed of MLC solution.
The Silicon Power cards are next generation SD cards v2.0 which support FAT32 offering high-definition digital photos and high quality video recording capability. They also provide mechanical write protection switch for data protection against accidental deletion. The cards are also energy-efficient and consume low power and comply with the Europe RoHS standard.
Its other features include support for Content Protection for Recordable Media (CPRM), compliance with secure digital music initiative (SDMI), support for DSLR, PDA, MP3 digital devices with SDHC mark.
